Five Year Plan – ( 2007 – 2012 )

                        It is targeted to bring additional 50,000 acres under mulberry during Eleventh Plan period. By the end of Eleventh Plan the mulberry acreage will be 75,000 acres and 4000 metric tons of raw silk will be produced of which 2,000 metric tons (50%) will be bivoltine silk.
